What does winning mean to you?
The 3 Cs of Goal Setting
When you goal set, make sure that you look at 3 levels of goals.
Common. Common goals are goals that you should be able to achieve. If you do not achieve these goals, you should be disappointed. These goals help you stay on track an allow you to experience small successes on the way.
Challenging. Challenging goals should stretch you. The rate of success is about 40-50% of the time. It should be a celebration if you succeed. It should take you extra effort and training to achieve these types of goals.
Championship. Championship goals are those lofty goals that set the direction for a season or a year. These goals change after you achieve them or come close to achieving. The rate of success in any given year is about 5-10%. This is not an ordinary achievement and you MUST celebrate the work. Use these goals as a direction and vision.
